Al Muhakah Institute

About Us

Let's learn Arabic together

A Glimpse of Jordan

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a country located in the Middle East, right at the heart of Bilad al-Sham. Its capital and largest city is Amman, with the majority of its population being Arabs, and Arabic as the official language of the country. Islam is the dominant religion, with most Jordanians adhering to Sunni Islam.

Jordan possesses an extraordinarily rich historical and cultural heritage…

About Us

Al Muhakah is a learning experience that combines language, culture, and knowledge. Participants will not only learn Arabic as the primary focus, but also immerse themselves in everyday Arab and Jordanian life, while broadening their understanding of the great civilizations that have shaped Jordan, including the Islamic, Roman, and Greek civilizations. In addition, participants will become part of an international community which opens wide opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences.

We emphasized practical and natural Arabic speaking skills. Communication in Arabic will be practiced daily through light and enjoyable conversations, so participants can learn without pressure while enjoying new experiences with joy, whether at fascinating destinations such as historical sites, old towns, olive groves, and traditional markets, in classes and workshops, or at their host family’s home with teachers.
With this method, Arabic is not only studied, but truly lived in daily life.

Curriculum Goals

We aim to:

Improve Arabic Speaking Skills

Build confidence in everyday conversations.

Expand Socio-Cultural Understanding

Discover Arab and Jordanian traditions through daily experiences.

Consistent Practice

Use Arabic at every opportunity: in class, at home, and during trips. New vocabulary every day!

Connect Language with Context

Learn vocabulary directly related to the experiences and locations visited

Learning Methods

Learn by "Jumping Right In"

Every activity — chatting with teachers, group work, and games — is done in Arabic. This way, you are fully immersed in the Arabic world.

Exciting Daily Themes

New vocabulary and expressions are always linked to the day’s destination. For example, learning about food before visiting a market, listening to stories about Petra, the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, or Wadi Rum, making the experience come alive.

Small Groups, Lots of Talking

Study in groups of 5–7 participants so everyone is actively involved in fun activities — becoming both good listeners and speakers.
